The formation behind the indie rock project Queen Leer (Vienna/Graz/Völkermarkt) has now been active for several years under the name "Superior Street" with first steps in DIY recording and various live shows across Austria. After a longer stage pause no further tours followed. What followed was a period of intense, refined songwriting and recording. The harvest of this process can be found on the re-debut album "Dreams Pyre", which will be released in spring 2019.
Old names like Pink Floyd and current acts like Fleet Foxes or Beirut come to mind when listening to the band's new creation. Leading brass sections and lead vocal timbres influenced by classical singing are recurring themes on Dreams Pyre, which, combined with soft choirs and a subdued restrained guitar style, result in the characteristic sound of Queen Leer.
